There are expectations and there are possibilities. Expectations often lead to disappointment while possibilities are endless.
If we think we will win and we come second, we feel sad. If we are open to the possibility of anything happening as long as we do our best, we feel accomplished.
Theoretical physicist Stephen Hawking said, “When one’s expectations are reduced to zero, one really appreciates everything one does have.” Expect nothing and then everything is something.
Spiritual leader Thich Nhat Hanh said, “We have more possibilities available in each moment than we realize.”
So will we expect outcomes today or be open to the possibilities that surround us? And how do we create possibilities?
Photographer Mario Testino said, “My favourite words are possibilities, opportunities and curiosity. I think if you are curious, you create opportunities, and then if you open the doors, you create possibilities.”
Be curious and take action. Anything is possible.
