Finding comfort in the discomfort.  The yoga instructor mentioned this yesterday and it struck a chord.  She said you can’t just fall out of a pose as soon as it feels difficult.  You have to find a place to sit in that discomfort.  That’s how you grow in life.

But it’s hard.  When you get rejected or are starting a new project or move to a new area or fail at something, it doesn’t feel great.  It’s not comfortable.  But you need to move through that feeling to climb the mountain.  Collect the no thank yous, smile and move on, tomorrow is another day and the sun will rise again.

Canadian writer and motivational speaker Robin S. Sharma said, “I wish for a world where everyone understands that discomfort is the price of legendary. And fear is just growth coming to get you.”

Growth coming to get you.  We all need to grow.  But in order to do that we must leave our comfort zones.  Because that’s where life begins.

Robin S. Sharma also said, “As you move outside of your comfort zone, what was once the unknown and frightening becomes your new normal.”

So let’s find a way to sit through some discomfort today, move outside our comfort zones and find a new normal.  It’s the only way to blaze a trail.
