Growing up I always remember my mom saying that March either comes in like a lion and out like a lamb, or vice versa.  This year it definitely seemed to come in like a lamb as I watched everyone sporting their spring coats on the first day of the month.  But the temperature soon dropped and reminded us that we still have some cold weather ahead.

March is a month of contradictions where, like life, you might not be sure what is coming next.  As author Charles Dickens once said, “It was one of those March days when the sun shines hot and the wind blows cold: when it is summer in the light, and winter in the shade.”

However, March also makes me think of new beginnings.  Warmer weather is approaching, the trees start budding, the sun seems to shine a little longer and rise a little earlier.  It is a time of promise and hope.  A time to make plans.

As writer Lewis Grizzard once said, “Springtime is the land awakening. The March winds are the morning yawn.”

What plans do you have on the horizon?  What actions will make you grow this season?

Blossom like only you can.  And decide whether you are a lion or a lamb.
