Author and activist Glennon Doyle said, “Keep going.  That’s all you have to do, ever.  You really don’t have to be amazing, or fierce or beautiful or successful or good.  Just keep going, please.  Slowly is fine.  Crawling is fine.  No feeling is final.  Except hope.”

Hope is everything.  It leads to inspiration and action and change.  And how can we strengthen hope?  With gratitude.  If we are grateful for our journey, our mistakes, our loved ones and our struggles it transforms angst into peace.  We are where we are meant to be.  We are growing into who we truly are.

I always remember reading Robert Fulghum’s book All I Really Need To Know I Learned In Kindergarten.  I quoted him when I was MC at my high school graduation.

Fulghum said, “I believe that imagination is stronger than knowledge. That myth is more potent than history. That dreams are more powerful than facts. That hope always triumphs over experience. That laughter is the only cure for grief. And I believe that love is stronger than death.”

Hope always triumphs.  Hope reminds us that tomorrow is another day.  Anything is possible.  We have all we need.

Let’s face today with hope and know that it will never lead us astray.
