Life is about subtracting. Putting down the weight we’re carrying. Peeling off the layers that aren’t who we are.
Less is more.
Removing ourselves from negative energy. Auditing the people in our lives who don’t cheer us on and letting them go.
Erasing the actions that aren’t authentic. Taking off the masks.
Making things simple. We don’t have to remember how to act because we’re being ourselves.
Decreasing busyness and increasing productivity. Focusing on what’s important. The 20 per cent of actions that will give us the 80 per cent of results.
Take away the mayhem. Only check emails twice a day. Follow your routine to diminish time wasters. Chisel away at the stone of life until what is left is the masterpiece that was hiding in the rock.
Poet and philosopher Henry David Thoreau said, “Our life is frittered away by detail… simplify, simplify.”
Subtract anything you can. And at the end of it all, the true you will be waiting.
