Author John Steinbeck said, “And now that you don’t have to be perfect, you can be good.”  How many of us are reaching for the unattainable goal of perfection which causes us to freeze in space and time?  We don’t want to start or speak or move because we’re scared of doing it wrong, of offending someone, of falling flat on our face?

If we let go of that fear, realize we are perfectly imperfect and know that our intentions and gut and goals and heart will not lead us astray, we can be good.  We can do good things.  We can make a difference.  We can change the world.

Be vulnerable.  Be flawed.  Be someone who others look at and ask, “Why don’t I do that too?”  You will grow and inspire through your imperfect action.  Just take action.  Do something.

And never forget that you don’t have to be perfect.  You just have to be you.
